WPA

The WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) is a security protocol for wireless computer networks. It was developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance in response to the weakness of the WEP security protocol. WPA provides stronger security than WEP by using pre-shared keys, user authentication, dynamic key exchange, and other technology to protect the security of wireless data transmissions.

WPA is available in two versions: WPA-PSK (Pre-Shared Key) and WPA-Enterprise. WPA-PSK is designed to provide user authentication and data encryption, while WPA-Enterprise is designed to provide user authentication and data encryption via an authentication server. WPA-Enterprise is more secure than WPA-PSK, but it requires more work to setup.

WPA is supported by most wireless routers, and it is the recommended security protocol for wireless networks. It is important to note that WPA is not infallible, and that other security measures, such as using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), should be employed to protect the security of any wireless network.
