Uniform Resource Locator (URL)

Uniform Resource Locator (URL), also known as a web address, is a form of a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) that specifies a set of characters designed to identify a web resource. It identifies a web page, file, website, or other resource on the Internet, and allows its users to locate it with the aid of a web browser.
