Input device

Mice typically feature two buttons, a scroll wheel, and a sensor that allows it to sense the motion and direction of the mouse. There are also specialized mice available, such as trackballs, which feature a spherical ball within the mouse which can be rolled with the user’s fingers to move the cursor.

They typically feature buttons and joysticks that allow the user to interact with and control the characters and elements in the game. The design of game controllers varies from platform to platform, with each platform typically featuring a unique type of controller suited to its specific game.

Microphones are input devices used to capture audio signals and feed them into a computer for processing and playback. Microphones can be used to capture speech, sound effects, and music which can then be used in a variety of applications such as sound recording, voice dictation, gaming, and video production.

Trackpads and touchscreens are input devices used with portable and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Trackpads are used to move a cursor across a screen or to select different items in an interface. Touchscreens are used to interact with and control programs and systems directly through the use of touch to select items, swipe, and pinch to zoom.
