Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is a language used for creating webpages and web applications. HTML was initially created in 1993 by Tim Berners-Lee, who later released HTML version 1.0 in 1995.

Tags usually take the format < tagname > content , where tagname is the name of the tag and content is the content you wish to display on the page.
