Cyber Monday is an online shopping day which takes place the first Monday after the United States Thanksgiving holiday. It was created by retailers as an online version of the brick and mortarBlack Friday shopping day, and is one of the busiest online shopping days of the year.

Cyber Monday was first observed in 2005, and has been growing in popularity ever since. It is estimated that over 137 million people shopped online on Cyber Monday 2019.
