Browser Helper Object (BHO)

Browser Helper Object (BHO) is a type of software component developed by Microsoft which takes the form of a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) object. It is used to extend the functionality of web browsers. BHOs can be used to add additional features to web browsers, improve browser performance, or provide additional data protection services.

BHOs are capable of providing a variety of functions to a web browser, such as monitoring user activities, interfacing with browser elements, and blocking malicious scripts and advertisements.
